In fact, Equine Assisted/Experiential Learning is the next generation in personal and corporate coaching and training.
Horses are highly social animals with a strong herding instinct. They enjoy teaching people as much as people enjoy learning with them. Because horses have distinct personalities, much like people do, they provide instant and honest feedback. This offers insights into why individuals are (or are not) getting the results they desire in their personal and professional lives and relationships. By examining their own behavior and how the horses react to them, humans can better understand how they might be more effective in their own human relationships. The way a horse reacts to an individual’s interaction provides a visual metaphor for how co-workers or peers might react internally to that person’s actions at work or in a personal environment.
Equine Assisted/Experiential Learning is far less strenuous and far more effective than traditional ropes courses and classroom team building exercises. All work with the horses is done from the ground. The Equine Assisted/Experiential Learning experience is highly intuitive, profoundly experiential and it creates a deep and lasting impact on both individuals and teams.
