Shanelle Shanelle is the alpha female, and the most “social” of our coaches. Shanelle loves people and will often offer a friendly “slurp” with a very big, wet tongue to those upon whom she really wants to bestow her favor. She is the Queen of the barn and takes her job as an equine coach very seriously. Sometimes it seems that Shanelle forgets she’s a horse! She has a lot of personality and is not afraid to share it with everyone she comes in contact with.
Razzle Dazzle Razzle is the most versatile of our coaches. She works well one-on-one with humans, is an excellent team coach, and, unlike Shanelle, she knows she’s a horse and is proud of it! Razzle is energetic, athletic and highly engaged with our clients when she is coaching them. She’s as curious about what humans are doing and thinking as they are about her. She likes to just “hang out” with people and has just the social posture to make things interesting in all of the coaching exercises.
Key to the Heart (Key) Key coaches individuals and small groups using activities requiring only a single horse in the arena at the time. Key loves people, and loves working with humans, but she doesn’t play too well with the other horses. Sometimes she becomes a bit confused about the fact that Shanelle is the alpha female around here and tries to assert herself as the alpha female with the other horses. This can cause some conflict in the herd – a perfect picture of what happens in teams and a good way to see that from the outside.
Robin’s Key to a Dream (Indy) Indy was the first horse born at the ranch. Her sire is Mr. Star Robin and mare is Key to the Heart (Key). Her registered name honors both acknowledges that she is part of the “dream,” AKA the Vision of Renewal Ranch. Unlike her mother, Key to the Heart, she has not yet shown the aptitude for coaching humans. Indy is the largest of the five horses in residence at Renewal Ranch, Arizona. Although you might meet Indy on your visit to Renewal Ranch, she is not used in workshops at this time because she is a bit too self-directed and unpredictable. As you might have guessed, the “Indy” stands for independent, and she lives up to her name very well.
Shanellegant Ice (Icee) (alias Ice Bucket) Icee is the baby of the herd at the ranch. She shares her mother Shanelle’s social nature with more energy and enthusiasm than we might desire sometimes. She’s a perfect example of that person in your organization who comes with exactly the right attitude but needs lots of attention and direction to bring out the best. Icee keeps the humans she interacts with on their toes every minute and promises to grow into a powerful equine coach (that is, if she ever gets out of horse adolescence)!
To speak with or leave a telephone message for one of the horses, please listen for someone to answer then ... paw the ground once for Shanelle, twice for Razzle, three times for Key, four times for Indy, or five times for Icee.
After the tone, whinny away!
